The Diocese of Moosonee...called by God to Live and Proclaim the Gospel

Electoral Synod – March 26, 2025

Lay delegates, Clergy, and other Members of Synod will gather to elect the Twelfth Bishop of Moosonee in Cochrane, Ontario, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

This follows the decision taken by the Diocesan Synod at Timmins in June 2024 to return to full diocesan status with a resident diocesan bishop. Moosonee has been a mission area of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario since 2014.

Two candidates have accepted nominations to become the next Bishop of Moosonee. Both of them have years of experience in the Diocese.

Both candidates were asked to submit curriculum vitae. In addition, they were asked to respond to the Diocesan Profile and the Profile of Ministry of the Diocese of Moosonee. Their responses to the Profiles could take whatever form and length the candidates wished.
